JHS 159 Use of the ISO OID Object Identifier in public administration
The purpose for this recommendation is to unify the use of OID Object Identifier in the organizations adopting it. Unified identification practises are particularly necessary when data systems are exchanging information over the open interfaces with several separate systems. In these cases the used data contents, e.g. code lists and the versions of the lists, has to be identified. ISO OID Object Identifier is internationally only to one object attached numeric value that identifies uniquely the object in question in the ISO repository.
