A French digital cluster offers to collaborate with Japanese organisations - clusters, incubators or R&D institutions - helping them and their members establish an activity in France. It offers to work under a services agreement.

The French digital cluster is fully dedicated to the cultural and creative industries: virtual reality, entertainment (video games, serious games, animation, cinema, media and TV, sound and music, graphic design) and e-commerce.

It hosts start-ups as well as large and renowned international companies, a business incubator and an accelerator, which enables it to stimulate experienced businesses while the innovative projects are supported and take advantage of the know-how and experience of the cluster.

Research laboratories are also present and dedicated to virtual reality, man-machine interactions, gestural interactions, perception and visual cognition, among other.

It is looking for institutional partners in Japan, that can be clusters, incubators or R&D institutions, in order to establish business partnerships. It can propose its services to the companies or researchers hosted or accompanied by its partners that are interested in the European market.

Indeed, the French cluster is able to host and accompany businesses in setting up an office in France; it can also welcome and accompany start-ups in its business incubation programme, and help them in order to access funding opportunities for their projects, among other services. Furthermore, the cluster can put into contact French companies from the industry, hosted within its premises, with Japanese companies or researchers for technology or commercial collaborations, and help the Japanese company develop its business on other European markets.

The French cluster offers to work under a services agreement with its partners and their members. If partners have experience collaborating under other partnership models, it is open to discussion.

Partner sought

Cooperation area:
The French cluster is interested in establishing partnerships with institutions in Japan that can be local clusters, incubators or R&D institutions active in the creative industry and looking for partners in Europe. Potential partners are expected to have experience in accompanying their members in their projects including in their internationalisation. It offers to establish a support programme, giving the Japanese organisations and their members, access to the French cluster’s expertise and facilities under favourable conditions. It proposes to work under a services agreement with its partners looking for: - Support and assistance in project developments ranging from funding to R&D, as well as in the development of the organisation at European level; - Shared facilities including R&D labs where Japanese businesses or researchers can work on their projects and adapt them to the European market, - An office in Europe adapted to their needs and size: the French cluster offers spaces ranging from 16m² offices to an entire building. The French cluster is interested in exchanging best practices with its partners and in working on long-term projects that can benefit members of the two organisations. It is therefore open to opportunities and if its partners can propose an equivalent service in Japan, that would be a plus in the long term partnership project.
